We’re Glad You’re Here!
Welcome! Here at RRAC, we are a community focused on following Jesus and growing as his disciples. We believe Jesus is what the world (including us) needs more than anything else! In Jesus, we have found joy, peace and hope, so we want to share the good news with everyone, starting with Townsville.
What are we about?
The Bible is God’s generous way of introducing himself to us, his created, beloved children. The Bible teaches how God wants us to live and especially how we can have friendship with him through the Gospel of Jesus.
In the Bible, we find God’s grace, his undeserved gift of forgiveness. It is a long story that unfolds throughout its pages. It culminates with the gospel, as Jesus comes into the world to suffer and die for the sake of humanity, even though we hated him. Next, Jesus is raised from the dead to be the ruler of the world. Jesus tells us he will return to judge the world; by bringing justice and punishing evil, and giving eternal life to all who trust his promise and have been forgiven.
Jesus teaches us that we need forgiveness and friendship with God more than anything else, and he offers this as a gift to all who will trust him and follow his teaching.
Therefore, as Jesus’ disciples, we listen to what he says; we try to love others, pursue their good and be kind and forgiving. So, we aspire to live together as a Christian family and serve the community around us.
In view of this great story, we strive to be gospel-centred and biblically faithful in all of life. Knowing Jesus brings us great joy, purpose and hope, even through the ups and downs of life. And we want to share this great news with everyone, so we’d love you to come along and get to know Jesus too!!

We don’t come to church as the best or brightest, smartest or wisest;
we come not as the righteous, but as sinners who have been forgiven by Jesus.
Jesus frees us from guilt and shame, he gives us joy and eternal life!”
